Terms of use

Effective version: 1.0 — July 2026
Provider:

Complete and review this template before accepting payments. Consumer cancellation, refund, tax and warranty rules depend on the seller’s country, the buyer’s country and the chosen Merchant of Record.

1. Product

SUM is a local-first productivity application combining tasks, projects, personal cash-flow tracking, wellbeing check-ins, journal entries, learning progress, dashboard indicators and rule-based recommendations.

2. Free access

SUM Free may be used without an account and includes the functions shown in the current product interface. Free limits may include restricted modules, the selected primary language plus English, and a daily Coach allowance.

3. Pro licence

A valid SUM Pro licence unlocks the paid functions for the number of devices and the period associated with the purchase. The licence is personal to the purchaser unless an organisation licence expressly states otherwise. Resale, public sharing, automated licence testing and circumvention of access controls are prohibited.

4. Monthly and annual subscriptions

SUM Pro is offered through monthly and annual subscriptions. Access lasts while payment and licence status remain active. Renewal, cancellation, trial and refund conditions are displayed by the checkout provider and must be reviewed before purchase.

5. User responsibility

Users are responsible for maintaining backups, protecting licence credentials, checking entries and deciding whether to act on recommendations. SUM is not accounting software, a medical device, an emergency service, or professional medical, legal, tax or financial advice.

6. Availability

The local application can continue to operate independently of the optional backend, but cloud validation, backup, payment and distribution features depend on third-party services. Maintenance, security updates or external changes can temporarily affect those features.

7. Acceptable use

Users must not use SUM to violate law, store unlawfully obtained data, attack the service, distribute malware, interfere with other customers, or attempt to extract another customer’s encrypted backup.

8. Intellectual property

The SUM application, Al.G.B.r. brand, interface, text, templates and original code remain owned by the provider or their licensors. The licence grants a limited right to use the product, not ownership of the product source or brand.

9. Refunds and cancellation

The checkout provider’s displayed cancellation and refund process applies, together with mandatory consumer rights. The final sales page must clearly state the billing period, renewal terms, included functions and the cancellation and renewal conditions.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the product is provided without a guarantee that it will meet every purpose or prevent data loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
